The direct access offered by our team is often all you need. But in some cases, specialist referrals may be necessary for you to feel better. Under those circumstances, we’re happy to work with a specialist to get you the help you deserve. As a member of Carolina Health & Aesthetics, your well-being will always be our top priority.
We offer a range of services including screening, lab work, prescriptions, and more. All these are either covered by your flat monthly fee or provided at wholesale prices. We don’t have hidden fees or restrictions, and as a courtesy to you, we can coordinate with a specialist or hospital should your health depend on it.
What We Can Do Before a Referral
When Are Specialist Referrals Needed?
Specialist referrals are needed if you have a rare or complex disease. For instance, if you have tuberculosis, your care may be better handled by a pulmonologist. No matter the illness, getting a referral from a trusted source is always better than finding a doctor online. As you spend more time with us, we will get to know you and be able to find a specialist that can give you the best possible care.
What About Hospital Stays?
We will certainly continue to work with your hospitalist during your hospital stay as well as work closely with any specialist. Depending on the level of care and expertise needed, we may rely on those specialized caregivers to manage your treatment. That said, physician access is one of the greatest benefits of the direct primary care model. Even when you’re at the hospital, you are still welcome to call, text, or email us. We can also be reached after office hours.
