Physical Exams
According to Forbes, the average wait time to see a doctor has increased by 30% – up to 52 days in some cases! Seeing your doctor should be easy, especially for an acute illness or for routine physical exams. At Carolina Health & Aesthetics, we make it a point to limit our membership panel. Fewer members mean more focus on you. Less truly is more!
Whether you need a general check-up, sports physical, camp physical, or a return-to-work physical, we can probably see you the same day or tomorrow! Our physical exams offer prescription refills, disease monitoring, screening, and help with anything else that ails you. Become a member and schedule an appointment in Duncan, South Carolina, to get the care you need now.
What Are Physical Exams?
Physical exams are check-ups that allow our team to get a full assessment of your health. These visits involve a chat about how you feel and tests to check your health status. We tailor physical exams to your individual health history and needs. That said, most physicals involve many of the same procedures.
Common procedures include:
- Testing your ears, eyes, nose, and throat
- Palpating your organs
- Running laboratory testing
- Providing nutritional education
Our team might also recommend preventive screenings like a Pap smear, a digital rectal exam (DRE), or a colonoscopy. When you become a member of Carolina Health & Aesthetics, most of your physical exam procedures will be provided free of charge.
Why Do I Need a Physical Exam?
What Are the Types of Exams?
Our team offers several physical exams, each tailored to your needs and medical history:
- Sports Physicals – A sports physical ensures you’re healthy enough to take part in athletic activities. It’s also an opportunity to learn about warming up, cooling down, and preventing injury.
- Camp & School Physicals – Many sleepaway camps and school districts need annual physical exams.
Return-to-work Physicals – If you injure yourself on the job, your employer might ask for a work physical to make sure you’re fit for duty. Along with reviewing your health, we can also provide advice on proper posture and ergonomics.
